As accounts must be created by the parent/guardian, this particular article is also exclusively intended for a parent/guardian. So if you’re not a grown-up, get one and ask them to read this article to help you set up an account or show it to them if they have questions about it.

First off, what is Toca ID? Well, it's your family’s Toca Boca Days account! It allows your child to:

  • Play with their friends,

  • With their progress and character

  • From any supported device and platform.

It even allows a family to have multiple profiles, all with their own character, friends and progress, so that each person gets their own unique experience. No more arguing between siblings about who gets to do what in the game (hopefully).

You might have some concerns about creating an account, such as regarding privacy or tools that you have to manage your account. Do know that we take privacy seriously at Toca Boca, and our apps are designed for the whole family, including children with parent supervision. If you want to read in more detail about our privacy policy as well as the tools you have to manage your account and data, you can navigate to the "Privacy" section and press "Privacy Policy, Terms of service and account deletion/removal requests".

Creating an account

It’s worth noting that a player is not initially required to create an account to get into the game. However, in order to use features such as adding friends, keeping progress and purchases, completing tasks etc. an account will need to be made.

In order to start creating an account, you can head to the profile picker and press the top left   button (this is also where you can sign in to a pre existing account).

Once you press "Create account", this is the following screen that will be shown.

This is where you as the parent/guardian will be creating the Toca ID account, which you will be the owner of and will be registered to your email address. This will be the account that houses all profiles, where all profile management is handled, and will be the credentials you use to access them. All players would need a parent/guardian to create a Toca ID account so a profile can be added for the player giving them access to the full world and feature set of the game.

As the guardian of the player(s), you can register with the email and password you want to use. Make sure to read the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you accept them, simply check the boxes and press the green circle.

At this point, you'll need to verify your email address. Check for the email we've sent you and click the link there. If you haven't received anything, let us know by using the form below!

Once done, return to the app Toca Boca Days and you'll be presented with the profile creation screen.

Creating a profile

Here you will get to finish creating a profile for your child. A profile is essentially one character, with all their progress, friends, items and purchases contained within this profile. You’re not locked to just this one profile either, as once you’ve finished creating this profile, you’ll  have the option to create more for other players.

Right now, we’re creating a profile for the character your child is currently using, so all that’s left to do is give the profile a name. The name of the profile is separate from the display name that other players see in the game. You're free to call it whatever you or your child wants, and this is only ever exposed to you in the profile select screen. No other players can see this.

That's it, now your child has access to all of the features of Toca Boca Days! If you ever want to create more profiles for yourself or other players, head into the profile select screen and press the plus button at the top left.

We hope your child enjoys the game!
