We're super happy that you want to make a purchase in the app 🥳 but unfortunately sometimes things can go wrong and we know that can be pretty annoying 🤨 (communication between different servers, the internet in general e.t.c).

If you're unable to make a purchase with the purchase method setup in the App Store, then please first visit Apple's help article called "Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID".

Sometimes it's worthwhile giving it some time or trying another purchase method. However, if the resource didn't help and/or you are getting an error message then try the following:

  • Check your Screen Time settings, in particular the "Content and Privacy Restrictions" to make sure nothing is preventing the purchase. Note that "iTunes and App Store purchases" must be toggled to "Allow". 

 

  • Also, you might want check that the in-app purchases are not disabled with your app store settings and that there are no other parental settings in place which could affect the attempted purchase. You can read more about this in Apple's help article named "Approve what kids buy with Ask to Buy".

  • Logging out and back to your Apple ID account could help to solve this issue.

  • Also make sure to update Toca Days and your operating system to the latest version.

  • If that doesn't help you might want to see if you can make the purchase on another network/internet connection? Sometimes you could be trying during a really busy time when lots of other people are attempting a purchase, so you might want to wait and try again later.

 

The issue could be on our end!

It's also possible that there's a temporary issue with servers and other networking, making purchases unable to be completed at this moment. Check out the "Known issues" article in the "What's new" section to see if this is the case and if so, waiting a while and trying again later should hopefully solve the issue for you.
