On iOS devices, ensure that you're logged into the same Apple ID that originally made the purchases. Once you have done so, the locations you've purchased previously in Toca Life World can be restored by pressing the "Restore purchases" button at the bottom of the in-app shop.

If you’re on a new device and this doesn't work the first time, then try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and press "Restore purchases" again.

Warning: We don’t recommend uninstalling the game if you’re NOT on a new device as doing so will mean you will lose your free gifts, characters you’ve created and your progress in the app.

 

 

However, if you change your Apple ID or platform your in-app purchases will not be there as the apps/purchases are account specific rather than device specific and tied to the App Store.

Any other apps purchased are also non-transferable between devices with different stores (e.g. App Store to Android etc). If you've got the Apple ID and your platform is the App Store, you should be able to get it again.

If the purchases are still not showing up on your device then try the following:

  • Try rebooting your device and click “Restore purchases” again.
  • Ensure that you are logged in with the same Apple ID the purchases were made on. Try logging out and then back into the App Store and then relaunch the app to see if that helps.
  • Make sure that your app is running the latest version. You can always check the App Store listing to see if there's an update waiting for you.
