You might have noticed that we've changed things up in the Home Designer decoration menu. We're introducing new categories and subcategories to reorganize all the items, making it easier for you to find them when you're decorating your houses. Ready for a tour? Keep reading!
Overview
Once you enter any of your Home Designer houses, you see the blue chair button at the top right corner of the screen. Tapping the button opens a decoration menu, where you can find all the furniture included with the houses as well as any Furniture Packs that you've purchased in the shop.
All furniture, decorations, objects, and surface designs are divided in categories and subcategories. Before, the decoration menu was divided into five categories:
Bedroom
Bathroom
Kitchen
Living room
Surface designs
Star - Only contains information about the in-app shop
New categories
In our latest update (1.77), we've added two new categories, Hobbies and Outdoor. We've also made the subcategories bigger to reorganize the items, making it easier for you to find them.
The Hobbies category has all the fun stuff you love doing in your free time, such as playing video games and crafts.
The Outdoor category includes gardening and nature items as well as big outdoor decorations.
Expanded subcategories
Each subcategory was reorganized so all your items are more accessible. Now you should be able to find curtains, stains, drinks, pet items, and small and big indoor decorations quickly.

Keep in mind that the navigation hasn't changed - after selecting the subcategory, scroll down to find all the items you own. If you’re missing some icons, don’t worry! It just means that you haven’t purchased locations with these items quite yet.
