A number of players have been experiencing partial progress being reset in their game particularly with Home Designer homes. We're really sorry for this frustraing play experience 😔
The good news is that we have just released a new hotfix update 1.121.3 for App Store and Amazon Appstore which should solve this issue. We recommend updating to this latest version as soon as possible 🙏 The update is not yet live on Google Play, but we'll update this article as soon as it is available. If you don't have the update yet, you can manually visit the app store listing for Toca Boca World and there should be an "Update" button waiting for you.
As mentioned, included in this update is some fixes which will hopefully mean this resetting of play sessions/scene (quite often Home Designer homes), so what could be considered a partial progress reset of the game, doesn't continue to happen for you. Please note, this isn't focused specifically on full game progress resets but there could be some improvements there (and we are hard at working on continuing to tackle this problem).
We believe this was caused by minimizing the app and returning to it, but now we have adjusted things and you shouldn't ever have a partial progress wipe (i.e just your game session) in the game. We'd still always recommend exiting a location before closing/minimizing your game just to be sure. If you've experiences any issues with losing gifts, then we recommend manually resetting your game. You can reset your Toca Boca World app by pressing the red reset button on the start screen. This will mean the progress of your game is reset with the exception being any Home Designer homes and items inside of them. If you have any issues with this, please let us know!
